"Snap streak" is a feature on the popular multimedia messaging app Snapchat that allows users to maintain a streak with one another by sending and receiving snaps for consecutive days. A streak is denoted by a fire emoji next to the friend's name, and the number inside the fire emoji represents the number of consecutive days of snaps that have been exchanged between the users.

To keep a streak going, both users must send and open snaps to each other within 24 hours of the last snap. If a snap is sent but not opened within that time frame, the streak will end.
