Shahada意思

"Shahada" is a fundamental pillar of Islam and is the Muslim profession of faith. It is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam and is a declaration of belief in the oneness of God (Allah) and the acceptance of Muhammad as God's messenger. The Shahada is a simple yet profound statement that every Muslim is expected to recite to testify their faith.

The Arabic text of the Shahada is:

"أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمد رسول الله"

Transliteration:

"Ash-hadu an-laa ilaaha ill-Allah, wa ash-hadu an-na Muhammadan rasul-Allah."

Translation:

"I bear witness that there is no god but God (Allah), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God."

The first part of the Shahada, "لا إله إلا الله" (lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh), asserts the belief in the singular nature of God, rejecting the worship of any deity or entity other than Allah. The second part, "محمد رسول الله" (Muhammadan rasul-Allah), affirms that Muhammad is the prophet and messenger through whom God's message was revealed.

Reciting the Shahada in the presence of at least two witnesses is a public declaration of conversion to Islam. It is a requirement for anyone wishing to become a Muslim, and it is a statement that summarizes the core beliefs of Islam. The Shahada is not only a declaration of faith but also a commitment to live one's life according to the teachings of Islam.
