Vipassana意思

"Vipassana" is a Pali word that means "insight" or "clear-seeing." It is a form of meditation that originated in India and is one of the key practices in the Theravada tradition of Buddhism. Vipassana meditation involves developing awareness and understanding of the true nature of phenomena, particularly the three marks of existence: impermanence, suffering, and nonself.

The practice of Vipassana involves observing the body and mind in a non-judgmental way, allowing the practitioner to gain insight into the nature of reality. This can lead to a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of all things and the realization of the ultimate truth, which is said to lead to the end of suffering.

Vipassana meditation is often taught in meditation centers and is practiced in various forms, including in silent retreats where practitioners focus solely on meditation for extended periods.
