Tanakh意思

"Tanakh" is the Hebrew acronym for the Jewish scriptures, also known as the Hebrew Bible. The word "Tanakh" is formed by taking the first letter of the three main divisions of the Hebrew scriptures:

  1. Torah (Teaching) - The Five Books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy).
  2. Nevi'im (Prophets) - The books of the prophets, including Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, the Twelve Minor Prophets, and the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel.
  3. Ketuvim (Writings) - The poetic and wisdom books, including Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra-Nehemiah, and Chronicles.

The term "Tanakh" is a convenient way to refer to the entire Hebrew scriptures, and it is the term used by modern Jews to describe their biblical canon. The name "Tanakh" is not found in the text of the scriptures themselves but is a modern acronym that has become widely used in Jewish circles.
