Tanabata意思

"Tanabata" (七夕) is a traditional Japanese festival that celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively). According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar.

The festival is celebrated with various customs, such as writing wishes on strips of paper called "tanzaku" and hanging them on bamboo trees, as well as enjoying fireworks displays and other festive events. "Tanabata" is a popular subject in Japanese art and literature, and the festival continues to be celebrated in many parts of Japan and elsewhere around the world.
