Median score意思

"Median score" is a term used in statistics to refer to the score that appears at the middle position when all the scores in a data set are arranged in ascending or descending order. In other words, it is the score that has an equal number of scores both above and below it.

For example, consider the following set of scores: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9.

When arranged in ascending order, the scores are: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9.

The median score is the middle number, which in this case is 5. There are two scores below 5 (2 and 4) and two scores above 5 (7 and 9).

If the number of scores in the data set is even, the median is the average of the two middle scores. For example, if the scores were 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, the median would be the average of the 3rd and 4th scores, which are 5 and 7. The median would be (5 + 7) / 2 = 12 / 2 = 6.
