Jizo意思

"Jizo" (地蔵) is a Japanese term that refers to the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha in Mahayana Buddhism. Ksitigarbha is known for his vow to save the souls of hell and to help guide lost souls to the path of enlightenment. In Japan, Jizo is particularly revered as a protector of children, travelers, and the deceased, and is often depicted as a monk with a staff and a pilgrim's hat. Jizo statues are commonly found in temples and shrines throughout Japan, and are often adorned with red hats or bibs as offerings from believers.
