Attainment 8意思

Attainment 8 is a measure of academic achievement used in the English education system. It is a part of the Key Stage 4 performance measures, which assess students' performance at the end of their compulsory education, typically at the age of 16.

Under the Attainment 8 system, students' results in up to eight qualifications are combined to give a single score. These qualifications include English, maths, and usually a combination of other subjects such as sciences, humanities, and/or languages. The score is calculated by awarding points for grades achieved in each subject, with higher points awarded for higher grades.

The Attainment 8 score is expressed as a number between 0 and 120, with 120 being the highest possible score. Schools and colleges use these scores to measure their performance, and they are also used by the government to monitor educational standards and to make comparisons between schools.

Attainment 8 is one of several measures used to assess the performance of schools and students in England. Other measures include Progress 8, which looks at how much progress students make from the end of primary school to the end of secondary school, and the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), which is a measure of performance in a set of subjects that are considered to be important for a broad and balanced education.
